Adidas has been doing well after recent collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Mary Katrantzou and the legendary Kanye West with his new Yeezy Boost collection showcased at last New-York Fashion Week. It is now Rita Ora's turn.

Yet, Rita Ora’s new spring summer collection is one of the most expected of the season. She has already posted some sneak peek pictures on her Instagram page (@ritaora) that makes everyone's mouth water; we are all impatient to see Ora’s Adidas line in store !

Her previous collection (for A/W 2014) was already a success and she is definitely not disappointed of her new work title. Speaking to WWD about her new job as creative director of the sportswear label, she revealed: “I’m a massive fan of the brand, I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It’s so cool that I’m able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger.”
During the interview, she confessed that one the looks she designed was inspired by her dove tattoos, “it’s the softer, more feminine side of me with its soft colors and cutouts on the sleeves with suede – you know, things that are nice to touch and feel”.
The singer had a few partnerships with some brands such as Superga, Madonna’s Material Girl label and was the face of Rimmel, but for the first time Rita Ora confirmed the status of creative director aka ambassador with a brand. Yet, more than just a brand, Adidas is the giant of sportswear and signed a £1.5 million deal with Rita Ora.
Although she was as happy as a kid to launch her collection, Ora revealed to Vogue.co.uk: “I walked in and I was like ‘I want real leather, I want fur’ and they looked at me and were like, ‘I don’t know where you think you are but this is a sports brand’”. She knew she had a lot to learn.
Ora’s collection will come in five different strands, “Black” is the first that will be launched on 21 August 2015, then will follow “Pastel”, “Colourblock Packs”, “Spray” and “Roses” in September and November. If sports brands take over this summer, girls, we better start getting in shape!
