#1 – Nike Roshe Run

If the Nike Roshe Runs are so popular, it is not only because they are (ultra) comfortable, but because there is a large choice of designs, they are customizable, easy to wear and affordable. In brief, the perfect pair of sneakers, which is why most high fashion girls and models opt for the comfy streetwear shoes… Well, during chaotic fashion week time, we might all agree that you better be wearing trainers to run between fashion shows.

Like the Superstar, Air Max and Jordan, the Roshe Run is on its way to become an iconic shoe.

#2 – Adidas Superstars

Back in 1969, Adidas originally designed the Superstars as basketball shoes. They now exist in different colours and are worn by big name female celebrities like Rihanna, Rita Ora or Lana Del Rey, as well as fashion bloggers like Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad, Vanessa Hong of The Haute Pursuit or Julie Sariñana of Sincerely Jules.

From leather trousers to maxi skirts, the Superstars have been worn in all possible ways at fashion weeks. Without any doubt, we will keep spotting them in the stylish capitals in 2015.

#3 – Adidas Stan Smith

The Stan fan girl will probably know this, but the others would learn a fact: 1970s tennis champ Stanley Roger Smith is the reason of this sports shoe aka the best-selling trainer pair of all time since 1971.

If the Stans are so popular now, the reason is as simple as the answer: it is all about simplicity. Simplicity means minimalism and minimalism means trend.

Stanley Smith itself said:

I don’t know why it’s so popular with some sub-cultures – you’d think they’d want to have something a little more jazzy. Maybe it’s because they’re a blank canvas – you can wear them with anything. I think it’s their simplicity that has the attraction.

The white leather shoe is practical in design and function. The fashion industry clearly adopted it. Marc Jacobs cannot get rid of his Stans, Jenna Lyons and blogger Camille Charrière are definitely fans too.

From 1970 to 2015, the Stan Smith’s have always been the trend and not only them but the Air Jordans and Keds as well, since 1990.
